Gorgeous Big Horns Big Band


GBH is an 18 piece big band comprising singer, 5 saxophones, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, guitar, bass, drums and piano. The band plays a wide selection of big band music from the 1950’s to the present day including Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Stan Kenton and Buddy Rich classics. Other jazz standards and popular titles are performed in blues, funk and swing styles for dancing or pure listening enjoyment.

Moonrakers Dance Orchestra

This 8-piece ensemble set up in 2005 for the sixtieth anniversary of the end of WWII plays music from the 1920’s to the 50’s. Foxtrot, waltz and quickstep the night away and jive to the sound of the great dance bands or just enjoy some great crooning jazz standards. The group includes female vocalist, piano, bass, drums and a front line comprising alto sax/clarinet, tenor sax/clarinet, trumpet and trombone. A great alternative to a big band.

MDJQ

The Mike Daniels Jazz Quintet can provide cultured jazz suitable for pre-dinner entertainment, or after dinner dancing. Comprising trumpet, piano, double-bass, drums and female vocalist this versatile band will provide cabaret-style entertainment performing jazz standards in a wide range of swing, funk, latin and blues styles.  This group is also available as a quartet without vocalist, or trio with trumpet, bass and piano more suitable for intimate dining accompaniment or background music.
